Welcome, Preschoolers!

Our Preschool classroom is licensed for up to 20 children with at least 2 teachers. In a multi age classroom, children help each other learn which strengthens the school's community and their own understanding of the world. At Tiny Town children are allowed to move and learn at their own pace. Learning is not linear, and children who need more support with certain skills will get that, while those who are ready to move ahead will be able to find the challenges they are craving. Your child will be entertained with age-appropriate activities that will help your child meet their goals and set new limits in their development. Through caring relationships with their teachers, children will gain confidence in exploring, making friends, basic life skills, toilet learning, language development, and respecting others! We utilize social and emotional approaches to learning and play. Our curriculum promotes independence, develops school readiness and teaches tolerance through play. We use the “Second Step” social emotional curriculum and “Handwriting Without Tears” to help us guide children develop their fine motor and literacy skills. Our classrooms provide opportunities for students to learn using a variety of instructional practices. Every day in our preschool classroom, your child will explore science experiments, create artwork, and practice using writing utensils, etc.—all the skills needed for their big next step: Pre-K and kindergarten!  

Tiny Town is affiliated with the Commonwealth Preschool Partnership Initiative (CPPI). CPPI grants are available to districts in high need communities to support local coordination and investment in access to high quality preschool. The grant program aims to provide 3 and 4-year-olds in a district with equitable access to high quality preschool, while ensuring families have multiple provider options to choose from across public and community-based classrooms. This levels the playing field for kindergarten readiness across the district, establishing coordinated curriculum and similar goals regardless of where a child is enrolled. In this Preschool classroom your child will have access to require supports without necessary transitions or other barriers through an Itinerant Team model. We are proud partners with the Itinerant Team from the Plymouth Early Childhood Center.
