About Tiny Town Children’s Center

Tiny Town Children’s Center is located in the village of Manomet in Plymouth, Massachusetts. Since 1985, we have created a warm, joyful space filled with laughter, creativity, and learning for children from our community and beyond.

A family-founded program, Tiny Town was led for many years by the beloved Mrs. Toni Powers. We are proud to have members of the family continue to run and operate the center. Since 2018, her granddaughter, Stacia Buckmann, has proudly continued that legacy as Director. A former student and longtime staff member, Stacia holds a Bachelor’s degree in Early Childhood Education from the University of Massachusetts Boston. She blends longstanding traditions with modern practices to create a flexible, child-centered environment that supports diverse learners. As both an educator and a parent, she believes strong family connections are key to raising confident, lifelong learners.

Our Philosophy & Programs

Tiny Town offers a relaxed, nurturing environment designed to feel like an extension of your home. We provide hands-on, theme-based learning experiences tailored to each child’s developmental stage, guided by Massachusetts Early Education Guidelines and CDC milestones.

We are licensed by the Department of Early Education and Care to serve children ages one month through 8 years old, with a capacity of up to 39 children daily.

We proudly welcome families of all backgrounds, beliefs, and structures. Every child is valued as an individual, and we meet them where they are—developmentally, physically, and emotionally—through thoughtfully prepared environments and engaging materials.

Our dedicated teachers are experienced caregivers and educators who continually grow in their practice. We also partner closely with families, recognizing parents as a child’s first teacher and offering guidance, support, and resources along the way.
